Lately, the subject of the veil in Islam has become a subject of discussion and dispute upon which the mass media, especially the western ones, shed light.
And in the same way the eaters call one another to the bowl, all the cultural circles in the East and the West called each other against us (we, the Muslims) criticising, defaming, and accusing us of violating women’s rights, and they gave their unfair judgment that we (the Muslim people) are the enemies and dictators of the woman, yet, we are a nation whom all the nations mocked and laughed at because of its ignorance and oppression.
It is believed that we (the Muslims) made women into tools (dolls) and slaves in men’s hands. We polygamize without common sense or the deterrent of conscience just to completely submit to desires and whims due to our lack of conscience.
Then they accused us of putting the woman inside the bottle of our Master Solomon and sealing it off so that we veiled her and curtained her with an extremely strangling and distressing screen, and with that, our position descended, accordingly, and our rank went down until we became a reactionary nation whose humanity fell down to the bottom.
So, what is the veil in Islam?
Is it the cover screening only the hair? Or it is the whole cover screening all the body and the face?
What is the wisdom behind it? And what are the Qur’anic proofs (verses) that indicate its necessity and decide its nature?
Islam… What is divorce for?! What is more than one wife for?!
